U see, I love diving into art that is not in the mainstream. It makes me feel special. Pretentious as hell, but it is what it is.
So while looking for what movie to watch, ghibli was a name that kept popping up in the back of my mind.
And then I see the insane amount of memes about how miyazaki is a senile old man who thinks his own son is a shit filmmaker.
So ofc I had to check him out.
If you don’t know, miyazaki and ghibli are synonymous names. Miyazaki is the director who has made most of the great ghibli films.
So yeah I sat down and watched a decent chunk of his filmography with ghibli.
Now I didn’t watch princess mononoke(yet) because, well I just didn’t feel like it.

7. Nausicaa

Maybe ill do a seperate section about all of them when i watch all of the miyazaki films. But today this is all you get.
Ethiopian Jazz
Listening to new music sounds like going to a new town.
And of course, I’m also a pretentious music fan. So my decision to get into a little bit of Ethiopian jazz isn’t exactly out of left field.
What exactly do I like about Ethiopian jazz?? Well the best way I can describe it is that Ethiopian jazz sounds like instruments are singing. Listening to piano being played in a way you never thought was possible is entertaining in and of itself.
But Ethiopian jazz makes me feel like the end of time. That my life has been destroyed successfully and I’m just counting the seconds to my demise.
